If you guys are not doing an organic Co-op, you need to. This is where we get most of our vegetables and fruits for the week. They way it works is every Co-op has a fee for the month or for per box. When you join you and other people in the same Co-op pool the money together and usually an individual will go to a Farmer’s Market and purchase the products and split it with the other Co-op members. Usually, whatever is most common or available at the Farmer’s Market will be purchased so you really don’t know what you’ll get. The great thing about that is when you get a vegetable that you don’t know too much about, it makes you become creative in your meals and more importantly it allows you to try a vegetable that you normally wouldn’t purchase at the supermarket. Detoxify your life - we all need to do that. More natural foods as close to their original form as possible need to be eaten. When eating vegetables, always wash them very carefully if you cannot afford to buy organic and don’t have the space to grow your own. To preserve the nutrients, steam rather than boil them.
